It is normal to have questions. Here is a list of the questions that we are often asked.
Can I cancel / modify a reservation?
Yes, you will be able to do so directly from the confirmation email you will receive when booking . You may make a change up to 5 hours prior to your reservation.
What happens if we arrive late?
Unfortunately, if you arrive late, the playing time will be reduced so as to not delay the next group. However, if there is no reservation following yours, it could be possible to accommodate you.
Sommes-nous obliger de réserver?
No, but a reservation guarantees you a time slot. Reservations are easily made online or over the phone during our business hours. If you come to the store without a reservation, we will be happy to show you the available time slots.
It's my birthday, do I get a discount?
Yes, if you are with a group of 4 or more and if your reservation is either the day before, the day of, or the day after your birthday. If your birthday falls on a day when we’re closed, you’ll be able to play for free on the previous or next business day. The discount is applied when paying upon presentation of an ID. Maximum of one birthday discount per booking.
How long does an adventure last?
60 or 65 minutes . However, we kindly ask you to arrive at least 15 minutes in advance so that our game masters properly prepare you as they should. After completing your adventure, we will be happy to receive your comments, answer your questions and, of course, take your picture so that you can share your experience with the world!
Will we be mixed with strangers?
At SOS Aventures, teamwork is the key. We do not believe that mixing your group with others will make you enjoy the experience as much. Your group will therefore remain intact; you will not be mixed with strangers.
Are we really locked in?
The door by which you enter the game is never locked and you may exit at any time. If a player needs to leave the game at any given moment, he can do so and then return when ready to continue the adventure.
I'm claustrophobic, can I play?
Although the adventure is held between closed doors, you will not be caught in a confined space. People who are claustrophobic do complete our adventures successfully. Your mind will be so busy being focused on the adventure itself and the time on the clock that you will forget that you are trapped.
Is it scary?
The adventures are designed to immerse you into the proposed scenario. If an element in an adventure could be scary, it would be mentioned in the scenario’s description.
If we have already booked and people want to join / withdraw from our group, is it possible?
Absolutely. You do not have to notify us, but if you wish, you can change your reservation from the confirmation email you received up to 3 hours before the start of your game. However, you must always respect the minimum / maximum number of players for your adventure. You can also phone us to make the change with a member of our team.
Are there any age restrictions?
No, our adventures are achievable by all. However, in order to complete all the riddles and puzzles, we recommend that young participants be between 12 and 17 years old. The curiosity and the logic of the young people often make it possible to understand certain puzzles more quickly. Children under 12 years old are very curious and find several elements and clues, however, they fail to complete the game completely and theefore the presence of adults is necessary. We recommend a ratio of one adult per one or two children to maximize the chances of success. It is mandatory to have at least one player aged 16 and over per group, who assumes full responsibility for the group.
Are we responsible for breakages?
It would be surprising if you damaged anything. You do not need to make any physical efforts to solve the puzzles in our scenarios. If, however, you intentionally damage equipment or anything in the room, you will be charged.
I have special health conditions; can I participate in an adventure?
No physical effort is required and our rooms are safe. We recommend that you seek the advice of your health care provider to know of ay restrictions. Contact us if you need more details.
We would like to book for a group of more than 8 people, is it possible?
We can accept larger groups under certain conditions. However, our adventures are designed to be successfully completed with average groups of 4 to 6 people. The size of your group will therefore influence the degree of difficulty. We could recommend that you split your group in two and book two adventures at the same time. Please contact us to discuss.
Which payment methods are accepted?
We accept cash, debit and credit cards (Visa and MasterCard). Payment is made directly in-store. Gift certificates can be purchased online or in-store.
Are your adventures bilingual?
Yes, all the equipment provided is bilingual. (English & French)
Do you have parking?
Yes, we have plenty of parking space.
